Pauline Trigere and more throwbacks

Circa 1950's cherry red silk sculptural sheath with dipped skirt overlay by Pauline Trigere.

Rare early 20th century Fortuny velvet coat fashioned of rich shades of gold panne silk velvet heavily stencilled in silver Islamic scrolls in a kimono inspired style.

Madame Gres's high coveted and rare knife pleated gowns were done by her own hand and then stitched to follow the flow of the folds as they gracefully followed and blended into each other.

Fashioned of a copper viscose cotton and polymide with rubber elasticized panels allowing for side stretch. Front zipper closure and corset lace up back. Bust cups have defined padded topstitching, the infamous Gaultier signature "cone" look, along with underwire for support.

Circa 1980's Chanel sculptural strapless sheath gown. A sophisticated design with complicated construction reminiscent of the 1950's structural gowns of Christian Dior, Charles James etc. Fashioned of black silk taffetta with fitted corseted boned bodice and lined in black silk chiffon. Overlapping folds of taffeta at bustline mimicking wings. Construction of bodice is styled with diagonal overlapping pleated panels. Back of bodice dips into an inverted "V" with bow adornment on upper back. Zipper closure with 8 goldtone authentic Coco Chanel portrait buttons. Sheath skirt with bias cut back kickpleat overlayed with dramatic asymmetric skirt at waist encircling around waistline and falling into a dramatic dipped back.

Beaded evening coat by Paul Poiret Circa 1924-28

lookin to the 60s

that argyle patterned shirt is amazing... the rest of bob's outfit is too... but his style is def unique and awesome.

wide leg jeans.... they def look cooler in the 60s than they do now.. i think the voluminous hair of the 60s def pulls the whole outfit together. ...another thing i love about the 60s.

john lennon was always the most fashionable of the 4 members... even though this "rock/hippy" style is more like the uniform of hippy rockers of that time.. tailored jackets with groovy colors and cool hair.

i really like long hair on boys and girls.... nakedness + long hair = all you need.

oh the sixties ... if i could come back as another person i would come back as a hippie or movie star from the sixties, like bridget bardot my favorite 60s icon. below is a clip of marianne faithful in 'girl on a motorcycle ending'... also check out pics of Pattie Boyd, Twiggy, Jean Shrimpton, Edie Sedgwick, Jane Asher, Faye Dunaway

the hills, the city, .. and MK

Link
i found an interrrresting post today about spencer pratt selling a pic of mk partying in high school. Mostly interesting because i love pics of mk wasted.

but it also led me to this Details article about all those chumps... it definitely confirms my belief they are all a bunch of morons...especially brody. yea dude, hellllla.

btw... the city BLOWS! blows more than whitney snort, who def does not belong in this city. i can't believe mtv stooped so low... money certainly downgrades things... and in this case it went from sub par to basically insulting my intelligence.

Music session

There are few bands I love, but a lot of bands I like.....

Lykke Li's voice is just so amazing... her style and presence are exactly how I imagined her to be when I first her voice.

and i love love LOOOOVE her in this video:
