i had the pleasure of meeting todd selby himself a couple of weeks ago in greenwich and he was so nice and so cool!!! i love his site, the selby, where he posts photos he took of interesting professionals in fashion-related industries. they all have such cute places too, makes me want to live in a humble abode of my own sooooon. here's just a sample of his works...

Le Book

I am looking to buy a new amazing camera, one that is my soul mate....... it's hard work finding the right one! so far i am only looking at nikon's because i'm shallow like that..jk. but seriously the nikon d90 and d80 make my heart ache. although i def need to do a thorough research on other cameras and their potential when using lenses.

on another note....i am completely obsessed and inspired by the la creative part of Le Book. Le Book is a visial reference book of some of the top and best professional photographers, illustration, production, art direction, fashion, etc... Take a look. it is truly inspirational what these professionals are doing and i loooove Le Book la creative, expecially the fashion campaigns. BMW Motorad, Shades of White, and Gucci Flora are some of their 'this month's picks" but you have access to every campaign made from 2000 til now, as well as tons of prints from illustrators, photographers, and so on. it is my favorite site on earth!!!!

coney island pt 2

this is when i went to coney island for a video shoot at 5am! it was really serene and watching the sun rise over coney island was definitely worth it. the beach was completely empty save for a few fishermen and vagrants.

this fish didn't stand a chance...

my first time ever to coney island! we went last summer before it closed for good... super fun and the cyclone was actually really thrilling!

things to get off my chest

do parties actually have people that dress like this? because i definitely want in.

so a few things that have been bothering me lately from reading all these blogs and street watching in greenwich village:
1. i really hate when people say "killing it"... no, it does NOT sound cool
2. for some reason the fashion you see on blogs look good only through the computer screen... for example, a girl wore these slashed black DIY pants in greenwich village the other day (and of course a black jacket and a. wang bag) and she looked pretty silly. i felt kinda bad for her.... but not really.
3. another fashion trend that does not look good in real life are those huge black things called creepers. but some people earn the right to wear em....
4. it's pretty chumpy when people who think they are original, are actually not, and it is especially chumpy/depressing when they have admirers
5. i hate when people say that they looooove weed. uh who cares?
6. "fashion" is gross farce. real fashion is a work of art. i have never taken classes or am a very "fashion" knowledgeable girl... but i do appreciate the art and creativity behind it and cant stand the such perversity that is "fashion" today

on another note, i am obsessed with mother-daughter duo. jane of seaofshoes, and her mom at atlantishome.

they are so cute! and have great taste. especially with their shoes!
